Runescape 2 Money Making Strategy

September 30th, 2010

A Runescape strategy is typically an innovative and clever way of going about a task that will yield better results and take less time than normal. In RS2, some of the most sought out strategies are ways to make money quickly and easily. Some strategies are more common and known by most. Others are unique where players think outside the box and come up with creative ways to make Runescape money.

I’ll be sharing a RS2 money making strategy with you that is not commonly known by most player. The strategy is making gold by making dragon imps spawn. The gold you’ll make depends on supply and demand in RS2.

RS2 money making strategy

Please be aware that what I’m posting is not the full guide but rather a basic idea of how to go about this. If it’s something you may be interested in, you can view the full strategy in much greater detail by going here: RS2 strategy: 1 million gp per hour by making dragon imps spawn.

  • Catch Nature implings or anything that’s higher in level (the more Nature implings you catch that better your chances that a high level impling will come along)
  • After a bit Magpies will start appearing. Catch them. Be sure not to open the jars.
  • Sooner or later rare Pirate, Ninja, or Dragon implings will show up. Catch them. It can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours for a Dragon impling to appear depending how you use this strategy. A Dragon impling is the highest form of impling
  • Rare imps always spawn at the NW and SW corners of the maze. You can run back and forth and catch the imps or you can do it with a friend and sit at opposite ends and catch the rares as they spawn.

RS2 Quest Guides – Gunnar’s Ground

September 23rd, 2010

Wherefore Art Thou Romeo?

Gunnar’s Ground, the newest Runescape 2 quest, is replacing the classic Romeo & Juliet quest. According to Jagex, this is an overhaul of the older quest to better fit into the Runescape environment and storyline. Some of the story elements have remained the same but overall it’s a new and exciting quest.

The Gunnar’s Ground quest is available for F2P (Free to Play) members and P2P (Pay to Play) members which is great news to all you F2P members out there. The storyline in Gunnar’s Ground is focused largely on the history of the barbarian village and on the characters in it.

When finished with the RS2 mission, you’ll be able to answer these questions:

  • Why doesn’t the barbarian village have a formal name?
  • Why is there a miserable looking dwarf slumped against the wall of the village?
  • Why are savage warriors living in civilized lands?

The Runescape 2 quest also features the game’s first poetry puzzle and also has new and interesting rewards for F2P mages. This is a novice quest but there are additional rewards available to high-level RS2 crafters.

If you have already completed the classic Romeo & Juliet quest, you won’t receive any more quest points. You can, however, complete Gunnar’s Ground for the rewards. If you haven’t completed Romeo & Juliet, you’ll get 5 quest points when you finish the new quest.

Completing a new quest always has its challenges. If you are unfamiliar with the quest I would suggest a Runescape 2 guide to help you through it with the fewest complications possible.

If you have completed Romeo & Juliet and are doing the quest again for the rewards, Runescape tricks can help you out a lot. Even though the new quest still has some of the same elements, a lot has changed and you don’t want waste too much time on the quest especially if you’re not going to receive the quest points.

RS Bots: Gain Double XP Automatically

September 6th, 2010

It is the last day of Runescape’s four day bonus weekend! When you log into the game you’ll see the bonus XP modifier. You’ll first start out with 2.7X the normal XP you would get from the usual training activities. Your bonus XP will decrease every 30 minutes of gameplay as seen in the table below:

Once you’ve reached the 1.1X mark it will remain there until the bonus weekend is over. During the bonus weekend our normal XP button on your minimap will change to XP+ to track just how much XP you’ve gained and what your current XP modifier is.

This weekend was a perfect time to use Runescape bots. If you don’t know what a bot is, it’s a program designed to automatically train activities for you while you are away from your computer. Whether its mining, cooking, hunting, or woodcutting you want to level, a bot can get it done for you.

So for example. you can start up a mining bot and let it auto train your mining skills while you’re out to eat. Or you can start up a Runescape 2 woodcutting bot and gain double experience while you’re sleeping.

Hacking in Runescape

August 19th, 2010

Runescape hacks can enable you to do things that would otherwise be impossible to do, things that were never intentioned by the game creators. Here are some examples of what RS2 hacks are capable:

  • Invincibility
  • Duplicating gold
  • Increased powers
  • Higher levels instantly

RS2 hacks are highly sought after amongst players since they can allow them to play the game with no restrictions. There are, however, also different types of harmful hacks also that are out to target you.

Recently ABC News reported an incident where an 11 year old boy named Timmy got hacked in Runescape. Timmy spent years gaining his high level and was one day invited by another member to join a clan called the White Legion.

The player led Timmy to another site that turned out to be a fake Runescape site. The differences between the real and fake site were few and hard to recognize and in mere minutes Timmy’s password was hacked. Gone were the years of hard work and dedication.

There are hacks that can benefit you and there are also hacks that can harm you. Had Timmy been connected to a forum where members look out for each other and provide RS tips to keep your account safe, Timmy might still have his account he worked for so hard.

Fast RS2 Money Making Tip

August 12th, 2010

The following is a Runescape 2 tip to make easy money. Even though this is a quick way to make some RS gold, this strategy is for free members so it will of course not be as quick as making money in the member’s world.

Requirement
Anti-dragon shields – You can get these from the Duke in Lumbridge when you go on the Dragon Slayer quest

Directions

  1. Withdraw the anti-dragon shields from your bank account in noted form
  2. Go to the Duke’s room in Lumbridge Castle
  3. CLOSE THE DOOR behind you! This gives little heads up to anyone who should enter the room
  4. FIRST drop your noted shields, than talk to the duke
  5. This is where you will need FAST FINGERS! Click continue right away, select the first option, click continue, continue, and continue. So what you do is speed click your way through the message until the duke gives you the shield.
  6. Drop the shield IMMEDIATELY and talk to the duke again
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 (don’t drop too many shields in case other players should enter the room and take them)
  8. Pick up your shields QUICKLY
  9. Deposit them in the bank upstairs and withdraw them noted
  10. Repeat steps 2-9
  11. Sell your shields for a profit

How To Master Runescape 2 PvP

August 4th, 2010

Towards the end of July, Runescape 2 announced a huge international PvP War. Players fought their enemies in team-vs-team battles within their own language division.

Number of battles: 6
World: 21
Location: Centre of Barbarian Village
Dates: July 31st and August 1st

The battles were free-for-all and took place with 4 different teams of 2 language divisions. Each team had to wear a team cape to represent the team they were on.

If you’re thinking about joining the next international war, be warned that it is not for the weak and faint of heart. You’ll not only be going up against some of the toughest opponents from all over the world but you are also at risk for losing your armour, items, and weapons if you die in the battlefield.

If you want to support your language community and fight for honor and recognition, make sure you are well prepared or it could end up disastrous. You can seek out RS2 guides where you can learn from PvP masters or if you can use a Runescape cheat for quick and instant results.

How To Master Your Dungeoneering Skill

July 20th, 2010

Runescape recently introduced new improvements and new rewards for the skill, Dungeoneering. Some of the updates include:

Class Rings
You will now be able to upgrade their ring of kinship to get assistance as they travel through Daemonheim. Rings can be improved from Tier 1 to Tier 10 simply by clicking on them and paying a few Dungeoneering tokens.

Construction Hotspots
Dungeoneers can now use their Construction skill in a dungeon to build things in the start room. If you gave a hammer, some bars and logs that are found in the dungeon you can create

  • Farming patch
  • Group gatestone portal
  • Photo booth
  • Prayer altar
  • Range
  • Skillcape stand

Group Gatestone
This is the default location found in the Construction hotspot. A group gatesone is given to the party leader and those using it will be teleported to wherever their group gatestone is or to whoever is carrying it.

Hidden Resource Dungeons
High level dungeoneers will now be able to find secret dungeons that are scattered through the world of Runescape. These dungeons will give one-off Dungeoneering XP reward and also hold useful resources such as new rune rocks and greater number of ‘busy’ monster spawns.

If you’ve chosen the path of a Dungeoneer, to make your journey more successful you can make use of RS2 Dungeoneer guides that have been created by members who have mastered the skill. This is a new skill and starting out can be a little confusing. With the help of Runcescape 2 hints you’ve be able to pick up on things right away and level smoothly.
