RS2 Quest Guides – Gunnar’s Ground

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Wherefore Art Thou Romeo?

Gunnar’s Ground, the newest Runescape 2 quest, is replacing the classic Romeo & Juliet quest. According to Jagex, this is an overhaul of the older quest to better fit into the Runescape environment and storyline. Some of the story elements have remained the same but overall it’s a new and exciting quest.

The Gunnar’s Ground quest is available for F2P (Free to Play) members and P2P (Pay to Play) members which is great news to all you F2P members out there. The storyline in Gunnar’s Ground is focused largely on the history of the barbarian village and on the characters in it.

When finished with the RS2 mission, you’ll be able to answer these questions:

  • Why doesn’t the barbarian village have a formal name?
  • Why is there a miserable looking dwarf slumped against the wall of the village?
  • Why are savage warriors living in civilized lands?

The Runescape 2 quest also features the game’s first poetry puzzle and also has new and interesting rewards for F2P mages. This is a novice quest but there are additional rewards available to high-level RS2 crafters.

If you have already completed the classic Romeo & Juliet quest, you won’t receive any more quest points. You can, however, complete Gunnar’s Ground for the rewards. If you haven’t completed Romeo & Juliet, you’ll get 5 quest points when you finish the new quest.

Completing a new quest always has its challenges. If you are unfamiliar with the quest I would suggest a Runescape 2 guide to help you through it with the fewest complications possible.

If you have completed Romeo & Juliet and are doing the quest again for the rewards, Runescape tricks can help you out a lot. Even though the new quest still has some of the same elements, a lot has changed and you don’t want waste too much time on the quest especially if you’re not going to receive the quest points.

During these events, the quests were available to F2P players for two weeks and were then changed to P2P (Pay to Play) quests. Any free players who missed out on those two weeks in 2008 now has unlimited opportunities to do the RS quests.

Myths of the White Lands

Runescape 2 Thieving Help

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Many have asked why there is no Runescape 2 thieving guild. Well an entrepreneur Darren Lightfinger came up with an idea and guild members are currently being recruited by him to help build a subterranean guildhall. He is giving rogue adventurers the tasks of ‘rescuing’ a valuable ‘artifact’ in the most recent Runescape quest: Buyers and Cellars.

This will be a perfect start to a long and memorable career as a thief. However this is only the start of what Darren has in mind for the thieves’ guild. After the quest, he has a series of other capers planned, each with increased complexity and requirements, to test the abilities of the RS2 thieving members.

As you go on to complete these thieves’ guild capers you will be rewarded with loot, XP, and most importantly, you’ll be contributing to the development of the Thieving Guild

    Start Buyers and Cellars:
Darren Lightfinger, in his cellar under the house north of Lumbridge’s furnace
Requirements to start Buyers and Cellars:
Completing Buyers and Cellars requires 5 Thieving; however, training will be offered to those of lower level. Post-quest Thieves’ Guild jobs will require increasingly higher Thieving levels.

If your thieving skill just isn’t at the level you want it to be or you need help on your adventurous as a thief you can utilize guides such as RS2 Thieving Guide: 1-99 easily or another option you have is to take advantage of Runescape autos to do your leveling for you.
